2015 ASID Dallas Design Award Winner; First Place Powder Bath

Before Powder Bath Picture
BEFORE PICTURE

With a flair for all things unique, this client saw their powder bath falling short. “Industrial chic” is the name of the design game as unexpected materials come together to create both raw interest and a matchless sparkle all at the same time. Wrapped in a deep mocha tile that is full of texture and glistens with glitter up and down the walls, this small powder allows the vanity area to take the design spotlight here.

INITIAL DESIGN CONCEPT

Powder Bath Asfter 7

A floor to ceiling waterfall of glass tiles behind the vanity bring a sparkling silvery-blue contrasted with rich copper and brown veining to unite with the other walls and set the mood for the space. This draping of tile creates a perfect backdrop for the custom vanity sink.

Powder Bath After 6

A substantial white quartz block of counter floats off the wall, while suspended from floor to ceiling piping. Dramatic in height, and industrial in feel, exposed piping completes this utilitarian feel. A sleek wall-mounted faucet cascades over the glistening white sink, as a parade of mirrors make their way up the wall to stack up, glam to sleek.

Powder Bath After 3

Light from a globe pendant drops over the sink and bounces through the mirrors, adding another glamourous element to the space while stream-lined wall sconces splash floods of light along the tiled walls. From raw materials structured around crisp clean lines to luxe pops of sparkly shapes and textures, this powder bath is now ready to show off to any guest.
