Amidst the hustle and bustle of our lives as a family of five, we’re frequently spread out across DFW, shuttling between dance and soccer commitments. Gathering together for dinner is a rare occurrence, and when it does happen, it’s typically a rushed affair – swiftly grabbing plates and hastily eating. Recently, I stumbled upon the simple pleasure of setting the table and maintaining it as is. There’s something about neatly arranged napkins, stylish silverware, thoughtfully chosen placemats and collected centerpiece that beckon us to the table.
This newfound revelation beckons us to spend more cherished quality time together. It’s become an opportunity for us to not only share our daily experiences but also to delve into the highs and lows of our day, as well as a canvas for us to laugh heartily and engage in good-natured teasing and banter, which we seem to do all too well. It’s a wonderful addition to our busy family routine.

Our current table setting warmly embraces the essence of autumn. Plaid napkins in rich fall hues are elegantly secured by woven napkin rings, complemented by brushed gold silverware and amber-tinted glasses, perfect for our chosen beverages. Everything finds its place in a coordinating caddy, keeping our table both stylish and organized. A crochet table runner pairs harmoniously with a coordinated placemat, layered upon a round woven counterpart, creating a delightful and inviting layout.
In the center, a sleek black vase stands proudly, adorned with casually arranged faux stems in the rich hues of fall. Surrounding it are carefully selected pumpkins, adding a delightful touch to our seasonal centerpiece.
