I’m not sure where to begin. I was about a year into a 2 year build time for our new home. I had worked with a couple of other dallas designers in the beginning to make a few tile and lighting selections. Still, I was unsettled and struggling with confidence in my choices. I felt like nothing was cohesive. I’m a “leave no stone unturned” kind of girl who had probably spent the equivalent of 60+ hours in tile and lighting showrooms across town. The more I searched, the more the vision I had for my home became blurred. With the scale of my project, I knew I couldn’t maintain that pace. I met Linda through a mutual friend and the rest is history! We hit it off immediately. My husband, who had had a front row seat to my design struggles agreed to solicit the help of the Baker Team.
At our initial consultation, Linda introduced me to Jessica Warren, who was the lead dallas designer on our home. Jessica was very patient with me dragging her through all of my previous tile and lighting selections and she helped me fill in the gaps in areas I had not selected. We then began working on finalizing the remaining light fixtures, paint colors and cabinet hardware. Through the course of working through those selections Jessica really began to understand my style and she helped to put my vision back in focus. With all of the construction finish out decisions made, Jessica began to work on the furnishings and decor! Most of our furnishing were well past their prime and were not going to make the move to our new home, so Jessica had to start from scratch. She carefully selected pieces that were of high quality, beautiful, unique and comfortable. Room by room, she created a warm and comfortable environment. She took my vision of warm elegance and elevated it beyond anything I could have imagined! Every last detail is perfect from the window coverings to the rugs, the custom furniture pieces to the lamps, artwork and accessories! It’s truly like living in a model home! Jessica and I worked well together and we often came to the same conclusion, but she was certainly good at being honest and redirecting me if there was something that didn’t really work. Likewise, she listened when I voiced a concern or dislike for something and she was willing to look for more suitable options.
While there are many elements that are unique and stand out in our home, everyone comments on the beautiful Curate Floral designs scattered throughout. Michael is a true artist! Mary Pat is so kind and always welcoming. She’s ready to answer questions or help in anyway.
Linda has put together an amazing team of talented professionals! I am grateful for each one of them who played a role in designing our dream home! After working together for many months, they are like family to me!
