DESIGN LAYOUT:
This Southlake CEO wanted a getaway of an office. With his farmland roots, and love of all things clean and modern, the challenge to bring all his worlds together in a professional setting was met with custom solutions and unique material installations. A mix of rugged wood grains and contrasting steel and metal finishes are met with leathers and masculine textiles to lay a textural foundation of the “rustic chic” look. Gone are oversized hutch-desk combos, as our dallas designers designed a completely customized desk to service both surface and storage needs. The linear detailing in the desk acts as an art-piece highlighted by a custom designed paint finish to emulate a more rugged and aged feel on a modern and graphic piece of furniture.
Clients and visitors are welcomed to stay awhile in a pair of ranch inspired, Wassily style chairs. The architectural lines of the steel frame, met with leather strap arms and soft gray cushions, speak to the aesthetic of the space and the unique qualities of the furnishings.
A show-stopping wall installation of Wenge wood creates modern design striations across the main wall and tie warmer wood tones into other case-goods throughout. A vivid, glass-like triptych of art sets off the subtle cool accents of greens in the office and compliments the warm wood tones.
A desired reading nook, snack bar and lounging area are all implemented in a continued mix of finishes and textures to make for a contemporary take on woodsy to allow this backwoods-boy his occasional nostalgic escape.
