Select members of the Dallas design community were recently given a peek inside the inner workings of the new Omni Star Hotel in Frisco. The General Manager and Director of Marketing graciously hosted the Dallas chapter of the International Design Society at their newest Omni Hotel which is a key feature of the new Dallas Cowboys training facility and headquarters. It was such a beautiful and well done event and the Dallas designers were educated on both the Omni and the Cowboys brand and how the partnership of the two came about.
Everyone knows that the Dallas Cowboys are “America’s Team”, but we were surprised to learn that the Cowboys franchise is actually the world’s most valuable sports franchise. By a lot. So, it’s no surprise that every detail is executed to perfection in this luxurious hotel and the entire complex. To give some perspective; the cost of building the AT&T Stadium was $1.2 billion. In contrast, the cost to build the new Dallas Cowboys facility was $1.5 billion. So naturally, the attention to detail in every area, specifically in the design of the hotel, is phenomenal.
The high-end design of Omni’s luxury brand comes together with the innovative and over-the-top creativity of the Dallas Cowboys franchise to create a visually stunning space. Just a few of the spectacular features of the Star include: a 50-yard turf field in the heart of the compound {of which you have a stunning view from the rear of the hotel}, over 30,000 square feet of meeting space, and a luxury take on the traditional “gift shop” called the Charlotte Jones Collection {champagne gummy bears, anyone?!}. Also, the lobby, corridors and rooms themselves are filled with tasteful takes on the football theme which adds to the elegance of the hotel without being too on-the-nose.
Along with the investment in the everyday design of the space, the Omni Star recently selected Baker Design Group as their official Christmas Interior Decorators. The high-end ambiance of the hotel will be complemented by many design elements including the feature of two custom 18 foot champagne trees with unique ornamentation and brand specific color palettes.
You definitely won’t want to miss seeing the halls of this gorgeous hotel decked in our Christmas Designs, so plan your visit between November and January to peruse the space.
