Awards season has officially been fabulous to us here at Baker Design Group!
Last week we celebrated with the best and brightest of the Dallas Interior Design Community at the annual Design Ovation Awards for ASID. It is always a treat to celebrate as a family; and this Awards Ceremony was especially fabulous for our team since we won three out of five categories we entered! It was truly a special night for an extremely talented group!
Check out the fabulous designs that earned us a top spot among Dallas Interior Designers this year!
Craving a modern white great-room, we overhauled this bachelor’s dated wood and paint, replaced flooring, counters and lighting. Grays cascade through textiles, stones and paint accents. Modular lighting drops in with artistic edge. Kicking back for a game, or mingling with dinner and cocktails, this space is ready to inspire.
Ready to turn their spacious master into a true retreat, this busy couple sought to bring life, depth and function to their once utilitarian bedroom. Rich hardwoods replace dated carpeting while a wash of perfectly balanced gray sets the stage for a monochromatic oasis. Leading the show is a buttery leather upholstered bed in dark charcoal met with all shades of gray, ivory and taupe in bed linens sparkling with design luxury. A watery wood-inspired wall-covering steals the show while clean-lines and circles mix throughout the space in mirrors, hardware, and textile patterns. Metallic finished dressers put a modern spin on classic lines while large scale bedside chests boast a strong black finish, highlighted by the same design with metallic silver for an artistic flair. No surface is neglected, from a silky gray monochromatic area rug for toes to ethereal embroidered linen draperies waterfalling a bay window, cuddling a new seating nook, all perpetuate a balance of warm and cool, sophisticated and glam in a vividly monochromatic haven.
