A Design Transformation That Knows No Bounds

Our Designers are so excited to share this beautiful Allen transformation as our clients are coming internationally with a big move ahead of them. Our number one objective was to make this move as easy as possible for them with such a big move ahead.  This project started with a new build and our Baker Design Group Interior Designers had a blank slate in terms of furniture, and paint colors, etc.  Here is a peak into their before pictures:

They wanted the home to be move-in ready for their arrival. They were not bringing anything over and needed everything (furniture, linens, accessories, Televisions with A/V hooked up already, game tables, etc.).

In an effort to stay away from the drab builder-grade fixtures and finishes, our designers added contemporary shower glass to the tubs and changed the kitchen cabinets from a dark stain to white paint to help it feel cleaner, brighter and just a touch more updated.

Our designers installed automatic roller shades that is all operated from the easy use of their phone or tablet. The other rooms also got tinted window film or functional drapes to help cut down on the sun light and heat coming in during the summer.

Our clients also wanted the kid’s rooms to feel special. Moving isn’t easy, especially to a new country, so they requested special touches that the kids would love (favorite colors, animals and comic book characters). One even got a small basketball hoop in his room.

Every project has challenges and this beautiful space was no different. While we did get to meet with the client in person once at the initial consultation; the entire presentation was done over skype. Our Dallas Interior Designers showed fabrics over the computer, but it so different than seeing them in person and being able to touch them. It really involved a lot of trust on their part!

Something that truly stands out in this dallas design is the accent wall with wall paper that makes a great punch in the dining area. We also love the custom fireplace art and long drapery panels in the living room. These really accent the high ceilings and add some drama. Paint treatments in the kids rooms help to really give each room an individual touch that’s special to each child and gives the custom vibe they were wanting.

You don’t have to be starting from scratch like these clients to introduce fabulous designs to your space. Whether you want a small overhaul or to scratch the surface on a full renovation project, we’ve got you covered. Our experienced and talented designers can help you with every step of the process.
