Just yesterday we were able to present our vision for Phase II of a home for a dear client of ours. We have already redesigned the whole downstairs and they were ready and excited for the plan for the second floor. With fun and liveliness in this family, we are able to dive into some spunky and truly unique design ideas. Inspiration for these type of projects can hit anytime, anywhere and this plan was no exception.
After an eventful trip to High Point Market, my wheels have not stopped turning; and, it was on another plane ride to New York, that I had to whip out my iPad and put “pen to paper” so to speak. Using my favorite rendering app, SketchbookX (Express), I was able to work with pen, pencil, markers, paint, airbrush and erasers all from the end of my stylus. I love the versatility of this application, as I can render a drawing from idea to fruition at any time and really get my ideas rolling to help wow a client with peeks of concepts and layouts.
Excited to share design ideas from the bedrooms for these two tween to teenage boys, I just had to share how a quick sketch can come to life with the coloring tools of my iPad. OH technology. Someday, I’m convinced, we will just speak beautiful finished rooms into reality.
