The BDG Christmas Design team, led by Heather Mattox, created a design signature palette of lush Christmas décor exclusively for Rising Star, including an extraordinary 20-ft. theme Christmas tree that will greet visitors walking through the enormous entry into the atrium area. 
The showstopping holiday design – which incorporates an imaginative 12 Days of Christmas theme – features a special design for each day and is a sure bet to banish all bah-humbugs.
In an unprecedented union, Baker Design Group aligned with world renowned mechanical genius Lou Nasti to create a truly magical, one-of-a-kind display, complete with the mechanized creations for which he
is known. There are plans for five animated scenes featuring the Mark Roberts Fairies getting ready for Christmas. The scenes
include hundreds of handmade props, along with more than 50 Mark Roberts’ elves, bears, deer, squirrels and raccoons that will each be customized and animated.
On the grand staircase landing of the riverboat casino, a theme Hot Air Balloon Mark Roberts Fairy Tree will include live animated waving fairies, a hot air balloon basket as the base and over-sized clustered ornamentation at the top, resembling a hot air balloon. Fully decorated lit garlands will swoop on all staircase railings to create a very grand, lush and festive environment.
Nasti, owner and operator of the Brooklyn-based Mechanical Displays Inc., has designed manufactured and installed custom animated characters, scenes, window displays and POS attractions for more than 40 years. His inimitable displays, which combine movement, sound, lighting and countless details, can be found all over the world, from Macy’s and Park Avenue Plaza in New York City to the castle for the King of Morocco.
