Do you have a corner of your home that’s been nagging you when you walk by?
It may not be your style, but you’ve made it work, or your pieces may be getting worn down from use. Whatever is wrong, we all have places in our home that could use a little refresher or needing some new decorating ideas to bring them up to speed in style, comfort, and functionality.
What do we think are the easiest ways to do a design refresh on your home?
It all starts with accent furniture and accessories.
No tearing down of walls or paint needed; a simple switch of outdated or worn pieces with fresh objects and furniture will make quite a difference, worthy of being called a mini-makeover!
High Point Design Finders

We will include photos of some of our favorite finds and styles. If you fall in love with anything in particular or have a small refresher project on the mind, we’re offering a limited time small-area design deal that could be perfect for you to give us a call about!

Restyling tables or shelves…
is a great way to makeover an area of your home without putting too much strain on your time or wallet.
Clear the surface you want to restyle to have a blank slate. You can combine what you have with mixed in new accessories, even moving accessories from room to room. What you have grown tired of looking at on your mantle may be a welcome refresher for your entry table! Add coffee table books that you already have or can purchase from your Dallas Interior Designer. If you already like the way your bookshelves are styled, try keeping your groupings the same, but trading out photos, artwork, and decor.
Accent Furniture, Accessories, Lighting, and Textiles…
These decor items all have something in common: They can pack a major punch in the overall design of your room but can be painless to install in your home because they aren’t a total makeover. Here are some of our favorite, fresh finds from High Point!
The patterned stripe down this otherwise-classic chair is so fresh! This would be a great switch out with a neutral chair you already have- plus a custom swatch down to middle to coordinate with your decor. We also liked this unique honeycomb console on the right with its muted gold and clean white tones. The accessories styling out the tip and the awesome gold sconces can’t be missed!
These glass pendant lights really made this kitchen shine. Updated, low-backed bar stools create an uninterrupted view of the stunning island top and detailed paneled siding. How about this mirrored and opal effect console? The piece on the right was so unique. Incorporating an eye catching piece like this in an entry or living room would change the entire look of a space.
This bedding is simple and beautiful! We loved the layers of different textures, from the velvet bed to woven pillows to fur shams. Incorporating a new texture to your bedding could be a great start to refreshing your whole room. On the right, a marble bowl, accent lamp, and books, topped off this stylish space with a designer finish. We were sure to place orders for small accessory treasures while at High Point, accordingly.
