What’s New Wednesday; Dallas Designers Take to the Lake

What’s new Wednesday? This fabulous, lake-living multi-purpose space that truly wows!

What’s new Wednesday? This fabulous, lake-living multi-purpose space that truly wows!

When this client was initially finishing up construction on their beautiful home by the water; they were rushing to make selections and choose finishes to get the job completed in time. But, they were dreaming of the day when this space would feel special and become the key feature of their home that they were originally hoping! This is truly a multi-purpose area which hits so many key priorities for our clients for entertaining and creating an inviting and cozy ambiance in their home.

Our Dallas Designer, Jessica, came up with some stand-out features such as the reclaimed wood wall and ceiling! With such a large space it was important to bring in warmth as well as different textures and design patterns so the herringbone on the ceiling is a particularly special feature!  We are also love the blue walls that bring some of the watery tones from outside inside.

Another fabulous focal point is the custom shuffleboard table, pool table and game table that we did for these entertaining enthusiasts! We paired these with additional custom design pieces like the bar stools and game table chairs.

The outdoors were definitely an influence for playing up the natural design elements. We brought in blues and greens and watery vibes throughout the design in order to segue to the outdoors. The space lends itself to this nicely as the entertaining area looks straight out and opens up to the patio and down to the lake.

The final area that we want to spotlight is the built out bar area. The owners originally chose simple lower cabinets which stood alone and felt dull and fell flat in such a demanding space. They also did not add much value in the way of entertaining needs! Our Dallas Designer started by adding upper shelves which made a huge improvement to the overall design as well as the functionality. Then we added a unique back splash which is a flat pebble texture finish which is so unique and again highlights the natural vibe of the space. Lastly, we added a light fixture and dressed it out with fun and custom accessories. All of which served to turn this basic and underwhelming lower cabinet area in a bar space that anchors the entire room.

This game room has definitely become the place in the home which brings the outside in and marries the two in a great way and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the ability to work on such a dynamic design. If you have a multi-purpose space in the Dallas, Frisco, Plano, Westlake, Southlake, Flower Mound and DFW area that you want help clearly defining and bringing to life for your home, don’t hesitate to reach out today to discuss your options!
