Most of our out-of-town work begins close to home. A family trusts us with their primary residence here in Dallas Fort Worth, and when they buy a lake house, a mountain getaway, or a second home in another state, we are the first call they make. They already know how we work, and we already know how they live.
Our Savannah project is a perfect example. It started in Frisco, where we transformed a family’s upstairs playroom into a speakeasy lounge and later designed their home for Christmas. When they purchased a second home in Savannah, Georgia, there was no question who would bring it to life. It is the same reason we recently traveled to Palm Beach to design a college dorm for a client whose childhood bedroom we designed more than a decade ago.
To us, that is what high end residential interior design really means: relationships that do not stop at the city limits.
The Art of Planning: Everything Decided Before We Leave Dallas
An out-of-town install is won or lost long before install day. Because we cannot pop back to the office for a forgotten lamp or a different pillow, our process is built around precision from the very start.
We plan for every single piece. Floor plans, furniture scale, and layouts are finalized up front, so nothing is left to guesswork once we are on site. Accessories and final layers are curated with intention and prepared ahead of time to minimize back-and-forth. Orders are timed to arrive within a tight, coordinated window. And we are deliberate about how many trips we take, which protects both the timeline and our clients’ investment.

Coordinating the Moving Parts From Afar
Distance adds moving parts: local installers, contractors, freight deliveries, and schedules in a city that is not our own. We take all of it on. Our team orchestrates every additional vendor and trade on the ground, so our clients have one point of contact from start to finish: us.
We also plan manpower carefully between our designers and our install team, so each install day moves efficiently from the first delivery to the final styling touch.

When install day arrives, the planning shows. Our team handles the white-glove placement of every piece, styles each room down to the final floral, and walks the space until every detail sits exactly where it belongs.

Set on 1,000 acres in the Ozark Mountains, this vacation home was designed for a Texas family who wanted a true escape. For a longtime Frisco client, we carried their design DNA across state lines and reinterpreted it through a softer, breezier lens. The result balances the livable luxury of their Texas home with the natural textures and relaxed elegance of a Southern coastal retreat.
River House | Ozark, Arkansas
A gutted 1920s home on the river in Ozark came to us with a single instruction: here’s a pink house, run with it. We designed and furnished every room from the ground up, from a blue sofa in the living room to a jewel-box powder bath and 1,600 square feet of wraparound porch, all built to one playful concept: “Lisa Frank goes to St. Tropez.” Every pattern, trim, and rocking chair was planned in Dallas so the house arrived in Arkansas bold, finished and ready for the river. Minnix | Houston, Texas
North of Houston in The Woodlands, our team led a whole-home remodel and furnishings project, from a chef’s kitchen with a custom brass hood and a glass-front wine room to a new theater, exercise suite, and guest suite carved from rooms the family had outgrown. It is proof that our process travels just as well down I-45 as it does across state lines.
Possum Kingdom Lakeside | Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas
West of Fort Worth on the shores of Possum Kingdom Lake, this lakeside home was furnished from the family room to the front porch in soft blues, warm woods, and performance fabrics made for lake life. Designing a lake house in Texas comes with its own logistics, and every piece was planned to scale on the floor plan before anything left Dallas, so install day was simply about placing and styling.
