The Great Room

Designer POV

The heart of the home, this great room brings living, kitchen and dining (both casual and formal) into one flow. Embodying a sort of modern desert feel, there is a blending of grand architectural elements with an earthy, refined aesthetic. From the reeded cast stone fireplace one one end to a subtly curved plastered hood surround in the kitchen on the other end, no detail is missed. Stained wood beams dance across a conjoined living and formal dining space, while matching grand hammered gold chandeliers drop over each space with intentional balanced separation.

A home destined for entertainment, a crema marble topped dining table greets you from entry, atop gold steel legs, all shaped with gentle curvature. The curves dance up into the seamless sienna velvet dining chairs. A spiced modern look with classic comfort ready to host with the most.

Flowing to the kitchen, five more seats belly up to the stunning twelve foot island. Striking cognac leather and ivory textured backs are framed in gold iron, offering a comfortable and beautiful lunch spot. Stained oak cabinets wrap the kitchen like a warm hug of storage while the crisp white

This kitchen is a masterful study in sculptural modern elegance, where refined materials and bold architectural forms converge to create a functional art piece. The design balances a luxurious, monochromatic palette with rich textures and warm metallic accents, crafting a space that is both visually dramatic and highly practical.

Delicately proportioned brass sconces flank the range hood, acting as subtle jewelry against the minimalist white plaster. The elongated brass faucet and the matching golden brass of the counter stools introduce a touch of refined glamour and warmth, elevating the overall aesthetic.

Washed in natural light, a breakfast nook sits to the side with a completely black marble table. The oblong pedestal base is carved with reeded marble collanding around while a soft oblong marble top welcomes that short stack of morning pancakes. Ivory boucle outfits modern scandinavian dining chairs with black wood frames and simple brass accents. A woven wool rug brings subtle oat and linen coloration, maintaining a monochromatic serene and modern space.

Back in the living space, contemporary luxury comes to play in layers of warmth through colors and materials alike. Refined rustic tones and textures are met by luxe natural stone and a hint of glam metallics. A set of strapping club chairs are framed in black metal with tobacco leather arms and menswear inspired upholstery. Tamboured wood waterfall cocktail tables cuddle together for a rich nutty brown focal point, while cinnamon barrel chairs mirror the seating layout. Channeled tan leather is cinched with a brass metal band, once again marrying the rustic with the modern and the glam. Completing the seating area, a woven alabaster sofa runs 8.5 feet long to offer seating and lounging alike.

Ten by fourteen rugs establish both the dining and living as separate but equally important hubs of entertainment. Molten colors of amber, chocolate, sienna and rust melt together in warm accents for this modern neutral haven, where the old west dawns a tailored suit.

A place where the scent of leather mingles with espresso and magnolias. This space celebrates Fort Worth, a city forged in saddle leathers, silver and gold metals and deep country roots.
